Hello, first post, and have my old sube in the garage. I have been on the net many many hours since 1998, been in every popular sube forum...and even tried several shortlived Maine (where I live) based subaru forums. I still see no old subes, but they are getting quite old and out of mainstream. My nick may be associated with silly vids (a hobby targetting boxer engines and subarus) and that would be me who made them. This goes back to 2004. I have also made pro worthy websites in relation to old sube repairs and restore, (since dimsantled) and customization, and have also learned some basics of the EJ generation to target as my next projects. I do all my own repairs. some would claim impossible (dramatic body reapirs). My mentality is indeed bckwoods truck frame rail breaking mentality, and hope to encounter it here.Anyhting and everyhting is junk in seconds..and always pieces to work with. That is where subarus have been for 30+ years and glad to own one.Look forward to visiting time and again.

I hear some sube wrx types or possible rs conversions in my town of bangor go by all the time, would like to get to know this type of sube a bit more, as the cost after subarus extinctive traits this year with wrc are coming into my cheapskate world.Anyway, glad to join, hope the forum gains popularoty. Maine and cars and ingenuity,( I am convinced via my own national forum joining pursuits ), are one of a kind and at times insulting to mainstreamers.

I do have lots of pics. I suppose the one without the recent busted rear end tube would be a better choice

This is with "pugs" (peugeot wheels) lucky find right here in bangor. This is actually my third old sube, one was a 2wd sedan with a 5 speed (hard find) the other was a tall geared wagon (presumed a turbo swap back to n/a). These models have been my daily driver since 1997. Without premeditiation, they have only proven to be phenomonal, all breaks of steel and bodies included.

bangor area? check the events folder, we are having another northern maine gathering (as we do everymonth) in May.

welcome to the forums.
