Hello fellow Subie owners. My name is Jamie, and I live in Lewiston. My daily driver is a white '95 Subaru Legacy wagon, which at the moment has over 232,000 original miles! As the title says, I'm a Volkswagen enthusiast, but I gotta say, after driving my Subie, I'm pretty impressed with it as far as reliability goes.
I bought my '95 Subaru off my father a few months back, and even though it's not the peppiest (or prettiest) of Subarus, I enjoy driving it. The Legacy needed work so I got it cheap. I needed the car to pass an inspection so I had to replace both rear struts, inner and outter tie rod ends, valve cover gaskets, and ball joints. Talk about work! This was just enough to get a nice shiney new yellow inspection sticker, thankfully!
My other ride/hobby/habit is my '59 Volkswagen euro Beetle. She's completely stock except for the 1600cc motor I installed. The stock 1200 engine was tired and slooooowwwwww so I figured I would give the '59 a little more power. This is a Subaru site so I won't bore you about my V-dub.
I'm glad I came across the site, and maybe I'll see some of you around. Be sure to wave and say hello. I'm always happy to meet others who share a common hobby of cars in general, no matter what make or model it is.
I'll probably catch hell for this from any New England Patriot's fans that may be on the forums, but my license plate is CWBY FAN. Been a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan for years, so the Subie is decked out in Cowboy's swag. You can't miss it hehe.
Take care all, and thanks for having me.
