hello all.... Just recently traded in my 04 ranger under the "clunker" program for a 2010 Forester. Actually it was my wifes choice. I must admit I was skeptical, as I wanted her to get something fun and good looking and of course reliable and safe. I knew Subarus were reliable and safe, but it made me wonder why she would choose something so pedestrian...so boxy....needless to say, when we went to sign the paperwork and pick up the car.... All I could say was wow....love the new look... But was it fun? I insisted on taking it for a spin before I signed anything and proceeded to put it through the paces...once again... Wow...Not a muscle car. By any stretch, but perfectly able. I think I would describe it as "zippy".. And dare I say... FUN! Now all I want to know is.... When do I get to ever drive it again? I'm convinced!

Looking forward to many years with this one... And making friends and getting advice.....thanks for having me.....PEACE

be sure not to drive the new rig in snow or on gravel roads....it may get stone chips or muddy or salty and you will hurt your face from grinning too much whilst sliding sideways

+1000 on Foz as fun and also amazingly useful. my g/f's 00 Foz just turned 175k, it's beat to hell but hums like a watch. starts up coldest mornings, hauls her over hill and down dale all winter on bad back roads. worst problem recently was we spilled some super-stinky shrimp shells in the back on a dump run...good thing about that rubber cargo liner!
