CRAP, I'm going to have to second the whole not being able to make it on the 26th. I've got a big party at my sis' place in NH that weekend and I plan on getting pretty well drunk and staying that way all weekend.

this might be a stupid question... but i'd rether ask then not, Is there such thing as a "performance" gasket? pretty much what i mean is, is there a thiner then stock gasket that would cause the engine to get higher compression? .... and wouldnt higher compression get better performance?

im baseing my idea the the fact the people shave the heads to get more compression. so this would kinda be like the same effect.

Um...that would be the headgasket people use thinner ones on, not the cam cover gaskets. Stick with OEM gaskets. Subaru makes awesome cars out of awesome parts. The aftermarket doesn't engineer great cars, they make cheap parts.
