Stereo woes

So here's something for you guys:

When I buy the wagon, the seller tells me the right channel on the speakers is not working, but he thinks its the head unit. He took his old head unit out and put in the stock subaru unit. He said his unit was working fine :

So I wanted to do a cheap upgrade to a WRX CD changer, but when I plug it in, the right channel is still out (both front and back right-side speakers)

Where should I start looking?

Oh and does anybody have a stock WRX changer they want to sell? The one I bought off Ebay has a problem ejecting CDs so it's junk...I get double fooked

i have a 6 disc 05 wrx headunit i will part with in the near furure. pm me if interested

sounds like a wiring gremlin to me.

i would check the speakers first

take this chance to buy a decent headunit and run a couple of small amps to have really good sound.

I agree with Pedro. Besides, it'll give you a chance to get into the door cards and determine if it's a wiring or speaker issue. I bet the speakers are fried, or maybe water/moisture got to them.

If you want to troubleshoot the speakers at the harness (low volt dc, listen for click)
