Can not par-take in poll.....Toyota is not up there. 2nd choice for a u.s. Brand would be ford. I have a 99 superduty plow truck with 318,650 miles on her. I'm hoping some day for toyota to make a 3/4-1 ton diesel.
Go for the Chevy, unlike Ford they make good vehicles. Yes, that was a stab at Ford... Dodge makes bleh cars, if I drove an American car, it would be a Chevy though. Unless it was a '60s mustang... that's the only good car Ford ever made.
ford for heavy duty. MY old man has had several F250s that have outlasted almost everything else out there and he used them to go into the woods as a logger for years and years. I don't put any stock in their rangers though. f150s are alright. same with GMC and dodge always has some major issue with something.
they are all a shot in the dark you may get any of them and have good luck or bad luck.like they say you good get one that was built on a monday or you may luck out and get one built on a wednesday its all a matter of luck with those 3 brands
if you're buying brand-new, it's the Ram 110%. Most recent model update gives the truck serious hauling ability plus independent rear susp so it actually drives well, not like an effin truck! It also has ingenious cargo storage along top & sides of the rear bed--how come it took so long to figure THAT out??!!
I would have to say the Silverado my friend. I have had one, and my father has never not owned one, if that makes sense. You can't beat the Vortec as far as I am concerned for the power.
thanks for all the input guys.. im not sure if ill buy new or used yet.. ive been looking at used 05-08 F150 FX4 so far and they do look nice, esp. the interior.. but im not familiar with reliability.. we oen a 01 RAM 1500 and its a pretty good truck minus the tranny we had to replace and some rust.. i'm looking into getting an offroad model truck (ie. TRX4, FX4 etc.) i am most likely buying used but if the price is right might as well buy new.. for now im not using it to haul much besides throwing stuff in the bed.. later (in the next 5-10yrs) im looking into getting a trailer.. preferrably 5th wheel.. so idk which would be a better choice.. i did look at the 09 RAM when they came out and even though they look nice i think they are more of a truck to just look at and not get dirty.. well.. i guess i'll do some more research.. any help and input is greatly appreciated, thanks guys!
i was just looking at my buddies TITAN and its not bad but when i was out at the dealership and looked online i have to admit the TUNDRA is something to look at.. i wanted to stay away from foreign trucks cause when it comes to trucks im thinking traditional like ford, dodge, chevy etc.. but looking at the toyota made me change my mind a bit.. and confised me even more cause now theres another truck to consider haha. decisions decisions.. plus i heard several people say lots of good things about toyota (cars) abhout how long they last and reliable they are.. my buddy has over 200k miles on his corolla.. on the first tranny.. pretty impressive
