Well the clutch isn't slipping, so a synchro problem sounds worse. It only bounces around if I rev it up, shift and then let off the gas.

I'm going to need a new clutch for my STi RA 5 speed and I know nothing about clutches. The clutch now bounces out of gear, but I don't want a 6 puck to pound on the transmission either.

That is probably where the oil is going. I had the same problem after a cam and engine seal install by an incompetent mechanic, resulting in a quart of oil lossed every 200 miles, when the engine had hardly used any oil before. I imagine in an unmodified engine with 27k miles a dealer may...

Problem with Motor Trend is they don't usually have a Road Test Summary so I've been faithful to R&T. I liked it when Auto Week would list all the times from every magazine. Whenever I looked up at my trap speed it matched my speedometer.

All of my times came from Road & Track and their times for the STI are 5.0 and 14.1, the WRX are 5.1 and 13.5. Considering the STI 1/4 mile time is 13.6 @ 98.2 mph. Cars with a 12.2 time are the Audi S5 and G8 GT.

Ok, forgot the Camaro SS in the issue, now the lowest price is $35k. Watch out for them guys.

The 2008 STI time is 9.1.
