Yes, a tube chassis would be part of the plan.  It would also form the roll cage and make the whole thing rigid.  Since the Scout body is made up of flat sheet steel on all the inside parts it would be easy to have the cage pass through the body to the "floor"  Heck, might just be easier to hack...

My 2000 Outback's exhaust recently fell off right at the muffler and since it's due for a sticker I need one.  All I really need is an axle back for a legacy\Outback wagon.  Not sure if the 200-2004 is different then the earlier gen.?   Doesn't need to be anything special or a performance...

Retractable cargo cover for an Outback or Legacy wagon.  It's out of a 2000, so it should fit 2000-2004.  Free to whomever picks it up in Windham before I take it to the transfer station.

It sounds like it might be fun to own for me in 2025.  I'm not a fan of car loans or huge registration fees.  

I'd rather have a foot of snow then a high of 0degrees thanks.  They always change the forecast as the weather approaches.  "different model, different storm track...blah blah blah" My car is prepared: It's an AWD Subaru with snow tires and a competent driver.

Well, I'm in Windham so it's probably not worth it for you and I to spend the time just for the headlights.  I have to check if I messed up my bumper as well because that would make it more worthwhile.  Hmmm.

My first Subaru was a 97 Impreza Outback Sport (6 Subarus ago...)  It's a fun, balanced wagon as I'm sure you are noticing judging by the pictures.  

It's sloppy mashed potatoes out there tonight.  Windham Lowes was fun and someone was there before me judging by the loops around the lot.  By 10pm it was getting deep for my lowered Outback

I hate to threadjack but I was wondering if you have a driver's side headlight or a pair of headlights you'd part with?   Or perhaps we should just tow Visonik's Outback down here and nab all the parts we need and split up the costs...

Nice purchase!  I'm glad the car is staying in Mainely Subarus and hope to see more of it on here.  That sounded like a good deal on a well sorted out Impreza.
