Been lurking for years for various reasons, but thought I would finally join and introduce myself just in case I ever need some tech help.

I'm a VW/Audi guy but one of my current VW's (87 Vanagon Syncro) is EJ25 powered (for about 3 years now). Haven't had many issues with the engine (other then blowing up the first block I put in because of my own stupidity, another individual killing an 02 sensor by backing into a concrete block, and a cracked/dead injector) but considering it's out of the norm and I am pretty much on my own, I try to keep up with any common issues and troubleshooting tips.

So just to warn you, I will probably be one of those guys who doesn't add much, but comes only when he's got a problem!

Just spent the spring doing sheet metal work to try and kill all the rust from years of hard use. Don't have any engine shots hosted right now but I will get some as I am sure that is where your interest lies.

What area are you from?? I swear I've seen this thing before. And yes engine shots would be great

I'm usually around Greater Portland, but it's been around (although I am not driving it as much as used to). I did do a winter-cross a couple years ago with it that was attended by a lot of Subaru owners.

That thing's pretty sweet.

You're not alone, I add almost nothing to the Subaru knowledge here. I have Jeeps and old Audis.

Awesome! I've heard of WRX-swapped Beetles as well as Subaru-powered Vanagons. I love the face full of Hellas.

Well, I'm usually driving something else, but if you do see the van, give a wave. Other then then ****-ton of lights, you can tell it apart because it has a 2.5GT badge on the back from a legacy.
