I suppose it's about time I started a member journal. Snowball (as Nigel named her) is a 2000 Impreza RS Coupe

I bought her late summer of 2013, after a very bad round of Subaru withdrawals. In the short time I've owned here, I've given her nothing but the best, and all the love I can afford. Everything I've been able to has been upgraded, and the list seems to be growing just about weekly!

I'll post a few pics, but honestly the car is cosmetically rough. I bought it knowing it needed some body work, and planned it out for early spring. I'm hoping that wasn't a bad choice, but we'll see how bad this winter is on it.

It's a PPG GM OEM color beleive it or not. I think its on a 07 Pickup. The blue wheels are PPG 04 GSXR Sonic Blue.
I have a buddy with a body-shop, so I trade labor for paint. I spent FARRRR too long sanding both sets of those to get that finish.

Awesome I'll have to get some. I bought some wheel paint from napa and its already chipping off. Did you do anything special to get them look that nice?

I sure did. First of all, I spent 2+ Hours on each wheel sanding EVERYTHING. Then I cleaned with some prep-all, tack clothed them off, and sprayed down 2 sealer coats. Once that was dry, I laid down 3-4 coats of base coat, and 4 coats of clear. I used some pretty nice product on them, none of that quick clear stuff. I wanted them to look perfect, and they do. They were all painted in a vented booth, and I went a little overboard on the coats for 2 reasons. One, because we mixed too much paint. And 2, because they are wheels, and there is a ton of small areas that are easy to miss. If I can find another set of RS 6 Spokes, I'm going to do the next ones in a pearl white that I was given to do the car in. It's a pretty sick color, and I have WAYYYY more then enough to do the whole car, and the wheels.
