That's too much. Has more miles than mine had, a lot of the same mods, and mine had a full STi drive train swap brembos and all and I sold mine for 11,500.

They're an engine machine shop in Gardiner. They're pretty good, but sometimes they can take a while getting things done.

Any idea how much for a valve job, decking and cleaning?  Usually cost me about 400 at napa

They charged about $75 to deck heads for my motor, and they came out damn nice. I didn't have them do anything else, though. Because I can take care of valves and stuff myself.

They still need to get better at subaru motors. Been a few gone bad that have come from there.

They assembled my shortblock with forged internals and that is still running well after a season of abuse. Turnarond time was pretty slow but I have no regrets so far.

Ryan's had a bad valve that just broke in half. Can't really fault them for that, and they did their part and paid for most or all of it? I can't remember the exact details. It's running fine now, though.

Had a few friends get work done at mcmasters. Mostly cleaning and machining work. Never building or installing since we do our own work. They always did a great job.

What would eh a good estimate to have 2 heads machined? No rebuild just having the surface smoothed.

$75 According to Chris.  NAPA was about $130 iirc
