Matt, your old car will be following you if this drive is a go. Loving the RS BTW. Now I just need a spare to do the drive.

Just curious, does the car need to be "street legal", as in inspected and registered?  I do have access to a rally VW that's just sitting my my buddies garage that needs a few things to get it running.  Could I trailer it up and drive it??

The dirt drive IS on public roads. And there likely will be some paved sections to transit between logging roads. We won't necessarily finish in the same place we started.

Last time we started at a gas station and I ended at the restaurant we ate dinner at. One longgggg day

So i was thinking around the 22nd or 29th of september for the drive but wont set a date till the whole route is planned.  Going to try to plan it over the next few weeks, have to scout the roads to see whats good and whats not.  Im thinking of doing around a 4 hour drive, what do you Guys and Gals think?  And possibly meeting up at my place for cook out but dont know yet.  For times I was thinking of meeting at my place around 11:30 or 12 depending if we do a cook out and leaving around 1 ish and ending the day around 5.  Feel free to give ideas.

September 22 or 29 works.  Glad someone else wants to go on a Sunday.  That looks good to me.

Any gas stations along the route?  My car seems to be getting 16mpg right now.?  It's going through gas like an Irishman through Whiskey.

It has to be on a Sunday because that's when the logging trucks aren't running.
