Feeler: 2000 RS coupe

I am moving to an apartment in Portland that only has one dedicated parking spot, the other car will search for an on the street spot each time I come home. We are considering living with just one car (our new 2004 FXT) considering my wife and I will both be within one mile from work.

So I am considering selling my 2000 RS coupe. Color is BRP, it has 170k, 5-speed.

Timing belt and pullys were done at 140k

-KYB grp 2's and ground control 10" springs. 1.5" above stock and 225/200 spring rates,

-GRp N strut tophats

-20mm rear swaybar

-rally armor skid plate and mudflaps

-STi cat-back exhaust

-Hella FF1000 driving lights

-ACT lightweight flywheel and OEM clutch done at 122K

-JDM tail lights

-WRX front brakes and axxis pads all around

-very very little rust for a 10 year old new england car. all of the rear quarter panel is still there!!

I have 2002 WRX alloys with bald tires, RS 6-spokes with almost new snow tires, and RS 5-spoke goldies with almost new summer tires

The Bad...

-noisy because I removed sound deadening and installed "klunk killer" bushings

-The tranny makes a noise during decel...

-The tabs on the passanger headlight are broken, but it gets by just fine

-The headgasket leaks a little oil on the drivers side head. I have a headgasket kit and water pump that I haven't installed that I would include

-No AC, I took it out

-The drivers side door lock doesn't lock with the push of a button, you have to lock it manually

I would start talking about selling this car at $4500, and that includes only one set of wheels, not all three.

PM me if interested

Bump for an AWESOME car, I remember the week he bought this years ago. I would be sad to see it go because I know how much Joe friggin loves this car, but I'm sure if it goes on here it would be to a great home. Joe, I would be interested in the RS wheels with summer tires if you do get rid of it. Also I have to swing out there and pick up that turbo soon.

I do have an unhealthy attachment to this car. I mean... BRP RS coupe! it is gorgeous. Everytime I walk across a parking lot up to my car it makes me happy. But this is the price of living in a sweet apartment in downtown P-land.

Fresh pic of the RS today

The interior. The "navagation pack" (really just a huge compass) is not plugged in.

The drivers side mirror has a crack in it. I noticed it two weeks ago. totally sucks

some clear coat is peeling on the drivers side roof line

I took off the side skirts and found that the drivers side fender was rusty. So I sanded it and hit it with POR-15

Talking about the side skirts... I have them off the car and I bought all brand new OEM mounting hardware, just haven't gotten around to putting them back on.

How well does it run with the intake like that? Lose a lot of low-end torque (compared to a CAI and stock)?

I simply removed the plastic tubing with the silencer. It sounds better and I lost no low end torque. The box with a K&N filter is still there, and that is what makes low end torque. removing the box and using a CAI that is just a tube from fender to throttle body is what sacrifices low end.

I don't want to sell rims and tires untill after the car sells. That way the buyer of the car gets dibs on rims and tires.

Final price was $4500 including the wrx rims and gold 5-spokes.

the RS 6-spokes and snow tires I am keeping for the forester
