Here is the low down. I bought a new motor for my 98 impreza the other day and found out the hard way that this motor was a phase two 1999 motor. It will not fit my car because my engine and ecu are phase 1. The motor only has 62k miles and I need to sell it / trade for a phase one motor with decently low miles. I will take 1000 dollars OBO or consider a trade for another ej22 (phase one). 2.2L EJ22E.
