Lunch: Bring a picnic lunch with you, and maybe something to sit on. As mentioned last year, there are very few establishments along the route that could handle the number of us that will be attending this outing, and getting lunch at a restaurant would take hours....

Gas: Fill up before you meet with the group. It will be almost impossible to get the whole group into a gas station without getting separated.

Walkie talkies are a great thing to bring if you have them/can borrow them, makes keeping the group together a lot easyer, and in the event someone has to make a emergency stop for fluids/flat tire/ tree watering etc, we can keep everyone together.

After reading the thread from last year, i wanted to add some of the suggestions that were brought up after the drive.

Bathroom Breaks: pretty simple/good idea, there are lots of places to stop along the route. How many breaks should we do?

Photo Ops: This is tricky, due to the number of cars potentially attending. I will prob drive the route before hand to look for good places to stop and snap photos...

Any other suggestions/comments/concerns?

Im computer illiterate and cannot figure out how to imbed those so it shows the image of the map.... Help Plz?

Well derr, I meant with homework and college app. and stuff.

Just saying, I'll probably come but I also may duck out at the last minute. Speaking of which, auto-x tomorrow I'm going to try to spectate for a few hours.

 
As of this point, I would like to be there. I do need some vehicular repairs, which will be the deciding factor.

 
ok, so mid to late october, gonna be a weekend. whats better saturday or sunday? Last year the route started in auburn and went to windham, up 302 to NH, up the kankamangus, back down 302 thru the white mountian national forest, then across bear notch. Any input on doing this route again, or should a map a similar one with the same type of driving? there are lots and lots of beautiful roads up there, and any route we take is going to be a beautiful drive!
